The award was presented by the Coordinating Minister for Food of the Republic of Indonesia, Zulkifli Hasan, and the Minister of Villages, Development of Disadvantaged Regions and Transmigration, Yandi Susanto. This marks the fourth consecutive year KNI has achieved this prestigious honour since 2022.

KNI’s winning initiative, the Sidrap Berdikari Program, is a community-based integrated farming project designed to strengthen local independence, sustainability, and environmental stewardship. Through practical and lasting outcomes, the program has demonstrated success in improving agricultural productivity and resilience. A standout example is the Pepaya Calina (Carica papaya L.) farm, which continues to deliver sustainable results for the Sidrap community.
