KNI's Taman Ketapang Recognised with Platinum at the Indonesia Green Awards 2026

PT Kaltim Nitrate Indonesia (KNI) has been recognised at the Indonesia Green Awards (IGA) 2026 by the La Tofi School of Social Responsibility. The Taman Ketapang program received Platinum Alignment in the Social Innovation & Green Energy Engineering category and KNI was named among the BEST 100 Operation Units/Sites/Suppliers Indonesia 2026 in the the La Tofi ESG Rating.
Since 2023, the Taman Ketapang program has focused on two strategic interventions:
Restoring land quality through semi-organic compost; and
Cultivating the high-value Calina Papaya (PKHT) variety.
By improving upstream conditions (soil quality) and selecting downstream commodities with strong economic value (Calina Papaya), the program supports local food security and builds an environmentally responsible agricultural ecosystem that improves the livelihoods of participating farmer groups.
KNI's President Director, through KNI's Indirect Business Lead, Dang Dwa Reksawibisana, noted that the success of this program is thanks to the collaboration between stakeholders in Bontang for optimising the potential of idle land into sustainable productive agricultural areas.
"This Calina Papaya-based development program continues to achieve remarkable results. This demonstrates that the Taman Ketapang program is truly capable of delivering real impact and promoting community independence through sustainable agriculture," said Wibi.
